Description of item: One of the characteristic features of the EarChair is its acoustic effect. Research shows that the EarChair reduces background noise by 13dB. The elongated ears of the chair create a nice isolated feeling that gives you a feeling of your own space, wherever you are. The EarChair was designed by Rianne Makkink and Jürgen Bey from the Dutch design brand Prooff (PROgressive OFFice). Studio Makkink & Bey have been working together since 2002 and their work can now be found in Center Pompidou in Paris, the Stedelijk in Amsterdam and the V&A in London, among others. Rianne Makkink and Jürgen Bey have designed for Vitra and Sketch, among others.
