Here at Green Collect, we simply love people! And we don’t underestimate anyone – particularly those who may have faced some challenges in life.
That’s why we hire a diverse workforce where we can offer a new beginning for the items we receive and sell - and for the people that make that happen. We prioritise employing people who are often, and continually, under estimated. Whether they are refugees, transitioning out of homelessness or have been impacted by the justice system.
What that looks like for the planet:
47% of collected items were reused because good quality stuff deserves a second life!
45% was recycled through our trusted partners, turning waste into new possibilities.
Last year, Green Collect prevented:
1,149,474 kg of CO₂ emissions – that’s like taking thousands of cars off the road
17,318,158 MJ of energy saved – enough to power an entire suburb for a year
558,358 litres of water conserved – by avoiding new production of goods. Every drop counts!
